About this Dog

Hello! I am the guardian of a beautiful, intelligent, very confident 5.5 male Siberian Husky. I have had 4 Siberians prior to this little guy, the previous 2 since puppy-dom. I traveled 390 each way to visit at the 5 week mark, the 7 week mark as well as for pick up at 8 weeks. To make sure he had the best opportunity for training, movement, obedience, training and play, I took off the first 8 weeks from work to be with him. His name is Happy! In the first 10 weeks, he met more than 1500 people... 2 dozen chidlren of all ages, including infants, people who live in and need whtoucheelchairs, and people who are differently abled. We went into more than 200 stores/cafes/ restaurants for more socialization and he was amazing with each of those places, finding friends and making friends right away. He has been house trained since 9. 5 weeks. He knows commands" sit, stay, stay at a distance, place, touch, down, side (so others can pet him) around, leave it, break, drop, catch and "bring it!" He loves to play with his toys and surprisingly, plays catch and fetch and brings the items back to me with joy! He is super agile and has a tremendous amount of energy. Our vet has known this since day 1 (which was 8 weeks, 2 days), he has needed a lot of walking and movement (which has been a great fit for me)! He walks anywhere from 5-8 miles a day, is walking well on a leash, but continues to learn about that. He loves to be in water and drink from the lawn sprinklers. He is a registered AKC Siberian, with all of his papers. He is up to date with his vaccines and vet appointments. He loves his Haven (I call it a Haven rather than a crate) and has slept through the nights since we came home on January 18 2025. His date of birth is 11-23-24. He was 1 of 8 in the liter. Due to changes in my life, I’m unable to give him the level of care and companionship he needs. It’s a difficult decision, but I know the right home is out there — one where he’ll be loved, challenged, and cherished.

Adopt Happy and Receive Happy's Fund

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Happy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Happy receive the contribution?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Happy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Happy's contribution here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Happy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Happy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Happy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Happy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
