Small but mighty, Monarch is an introvert. This small mixed breed guy enjoys playing with toys by himself, collecting them into a pile then laying on top of them like a dragon with their treasure. He also loves the company of other small dogs and thrives when he can play and interact with them. He isn't too sure about people and is learning how to interact with us. Monarch takes treats from his regular caregivers and will allow a few chin scratches. He will chase toys thrown for him but hasn't yet grasped the idea of grabbing them and bringing them back to play fetch. With time, a calm environment and a patient owner Monarch has a lot of potential to be a fun best friend! Monarch would do best in a home with another confident, friendly dog to show him the ropes. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Monarch was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Monarch’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Monarch’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Monarch’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
