Hi! I’m Sunny! I’m a 4–5-year-old golden retriever mix, weighing in at about 70 pounds of pure love, fluff, and personality. I was found as a stray, but now I’m settling into foster life and learning what it means to be safe, cared for, and truly loved.People? I adore them.Toys? Obsessed.Butt scratches? Yes, please.I’m house-trained and crate-trained (though I might need a little patience while I adjust to my new routine). I know “sit” and take treats like a gentleman. I LOVE water and don’t mind a bath one bit. I've got that golden retriever heart—sweet, loyal, goofy, and happiest when I’m near my humans.I’m dog-selective, so I’d thrive best as your one-and-only pup. I might be okay with a calm, respectful dog who gives me space—but I’m not into pushy dogs who get up in my face. I like to keep things chill.Because I’m a big, strong guy, I’m not a good match for small kids. Older children or teens who understand I sometimes need my space could be a great fit.I love the outdoors and would prefer a fenced yard where I can roam and roll in the grass. A fence isn’t required, but my ideal family should be active and able to handle a strong dog—I’m no couch potato, and I’m not for someone who wants a mellow senior pup. I’ll need leash work (I can be a bit of a freight train), but I’m smart, treat-motivated, and ready to learn with the right person.If you’re looking for a loyal buddy who will follow you around, make you laugh, and fill your days with golden sunshine, I’m your guy. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sunny's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sunny was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sunny’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
