Meet Hansel - Your Ready-to-Go Best Friend (aka the "Plug 'n Play" Pup) Looking for a dog who's already house-savvy and full of charm? Meet Hansel--a sweet, happy-go-lucky guy who's ready to slide right into your life like he's always belonged there. Hansel is somewhere between 3 and 5 years old. Old enough to skip the puppy chaos (your shoes are safe!), but young enough to be your adventure buddy for years to come. At around 60 lbs, this Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog mix is a medium-sized guy with a fun personality. He spent four weeks in the shelter waiting for rescue after likely being sideswiped by a car. In June, he had an FHO (femoral head osteotomy) surgery to repair his hip--and here's the kicker: even while in pain, Hansel stayed upbeat through it all. Always wagging, always gentle, always eager to please. Now that he's healed, he's thriving in his foster home. Hansel walks beautifully on a leash, knows commands like "sit," "down," "wait," and "come," and is a total gentleman indoors. He's non-destructive, a fan of chew bones (the good kind, not your furniture), and if nothing's happening, he's happy to nap the day away. Fireworks? Thunderstorms? Meh. He's unbothered. People? Loves 'em. Dogs? Same story. This guy would greet the entire neighborhood if he could. And when you come home? Expect the best "happy woof" welcome of your life. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Hansel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hansel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hansel’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
