About this Dog
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally. Meet Gus! Gus is approximately 1 year old, 36 lbs currently and he may have some Mountain Cur in his mix (but really is a Mutt)! He was found as a stray by the street department. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with teenagers, dog-savvy cats, and other dogs. His foster says, "Gus is a GORGEOUS, intelligent, energetic, playful boy! He came to us straight from the streets and was heading for a not so happy ending. In the time he’s been with us he’s learned to sit, shake, lay down (taught with treats in less than 1/2 an hour, so he’s definitely food motivated), walk on a leash, is making amazing progress with potty training, and is learning to love his crate. He’s started going in independently in the last week or so. He’s not a big fan of being alone, so if definitely recommend he have somebody with him more often than not and crate when his people aren’t home. I think he would absolutely love a fenced in yard to play in and a friend to play with. He's a chatty guy and gives us lots of playful “ah-rooos”! He’s such a smart boy and will make a great companion for somebody!" He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on August 15th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step. -Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Adopt Gus and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Gus's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Gus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gus's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gus’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.

We want the Gus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gus’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
