About this Dog
Hi there… my name’s Tucker. I wasn’t supposed to be here today. I mean that literally — I was scheduled to lose my life at the shelter the very day a kind soul came and saved me. I didn’t think anyone was coming. I had already started to say goodbye in my heart. But somehow… I got lucky. Now I’ve got this second chance, and I’m not wasting a minute of it. I’m an 85 pound lab/great dane mix, but don’t let my size fool you — I’ve got manners that would make your grandma proud. I know how to behave in a home, I walk like a gentleman on a leash, and when the day winds down, I’m the best cuddle buddy you could ask for. There’s nothing I love more than people — you are my favorite thing in this whole world. I’m a simple guy, really. I love car rides, hikes, walks — anywhere we can go together. But I’ll be honest with you: I’ve had it rough, and the shelter changed me. I just can’t share my space with other animals. It’s not personal — I just feel safer when I have my people to myself. (My foster mom thinks I may get along with other doggies but I was just scared at the shelter. She is going to test me soon.) Older kids are fine — I wouldn’t want to knock little ones over with my big ol’ happy tail. Here’s the urgent part though… my foster mom saved me, but if I get adopted quickly, she can go back and rescue some of my friends (from a distance) before it’s too late for them. I want that more than anything. I don’t want to be the only lucky one. I want to see my friends get their chance too — their soft bed, their car rides, their person to love. So please — if you’ve got a space in your home and your heart, let it be me. I promise I’ll be your most loyal, loving shadow. And you’ll be saving more than just one life — you’ll be opening the door for my friends who are still waiting, hoping, just like I was. Don’t wait. I can’t, and neither can they. Love, Tucker If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at [email protected] or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you cannot get it to work, let us know and we will email it to you in a different format. Unless otherwise noted, all Almost Home cats are healthy, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and flea & tick preventative.

Adopt Tucker and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tucker's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Tucker's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Tucker, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Tucker's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tucker was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tucker’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Tucker’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tucker’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
