About this Dog
Sweet Sophia. She came to us after her owner posted her on a community fb page. She had a puppy that same morning and the owner claimed that she wasn't their dog but had been dumped in their yard. However, a quick search of their name revealed that they had posted Sophia on several pages last year, trying to rehome her. Anyway, I went and picked her up and she had just given birth to a second puppy. I thought for sure there would be more, but it turned out to only be 2 puppies. So rare for a dog her size to have such a small litter. Her babies, Noot and Burleson, were absolutely precious and she was the best little mama. Right up until the babies left for their new homes, she would still roll around on the floor and play with them. She adored them. Sadly, Sophia had heartworms and had to be treated for that. She is now in the 6 week recovery period, post treatment. She is doing great! Although she looks sad in her photos, thats just how she looks. She is not sad. She is a happy, friendly, loving dog. One of the sweetest personalities I've ever encountered (and believe me, that's saying a lot because I've knowm many wonderful dogs!) Sophia LOVES other dogs. She loves to play with them so pairing her with another playful personality would be a dream come true for her. Her favorite foster siblings have been the smaller ones, but she gets along well with everyone. Her previous home included a small breed dog so I think that's just what she's the most used to. She is excellent when meeting other dogs. She is not dominating and has good doggy manners. Sophia is house trained and crate trained. She is not an excessive barker. She walks beautifully on leash. She is pretty perfect! She is a little bit overweight at 63 lbs. But that weight will come off once she is free of heartworms and can exercise more. That can start once her 6 week recovery is done. She is like a little house hippo. She is unbothered by cats. She's not too sure what to make of them but she's not aggressive towards them. We believe Sophia is a bully mix. Her ears were evidently cropped and they are very short but they don't appear to have been done at home, so it was most likely done by a vet with proper pain management, thankfully. She is an absolute delight and someone is going to be so lucky to have her. She is good with all people including kids. She wants to be the mama of everyone. Sophia is fully vetted and is about 3-4 years old. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Adopt Sophia and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sophia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Sophia's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sophia, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sophia's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sophia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sophia’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sophia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sophia’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
