About this Dog
Animal Profile: Zen is a 1-year-old, 35 lb mix breed coming to us from a California shelter, where she waited quietly for someone to notice her. When no one came, we knew she deserved a second chance in the PNW. Shelter staff described her as sweet, affectionate, and easy to handle on leash. She's calm, gentle, and has a kind presence that makes you want to stay close. Her scruffy face was the first thing we fell for—and we know her family will feel the same way. Foster Update: Zen is very sweet and eager to meet people! She can be timid and a bit submissive at first, but she is clearly eager to please. She is curious about people and dogs that we pass on walks, but doesn't bark or become reactive. Zen would be a great walking companion as she is wonderful on leash and can walk for a few miles, but also seems content to also lay around. She plops down in the shade in the yard if we are outside for more than a few minutes. She is comfortable around our smaller resident dog, though hasn’t shown much interest in playing yet. Overall, Zen seems like a dog who really just wants her person! She is eager to please and really looking for affection. She will almost immediately roll over for belly rubs and her tail starts wagging as soon as she sees you. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue. Adopt Zen and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Zen's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Zen's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Zen, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Zen's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zen was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zen’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Zen’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zen’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
