About this Dog
Adoption fee: $750 Meet Trail Mix – The Ultimate Snack-Sized Sidekick At 5 years old and a fluffy 17 pounds, Trail Mix is what happens when you blend just the right amount of sweetness, sass, and fluff into one ridiculously lovable Pomeranian. Oh, and did we mention he’s rocking a lion haircut from his shelter days? It only adds to his charm (and strut). From the moment his little paws hit the floor at 6:30 AM, Trail Mix is ready to go— tail wagging, eyes sparkling, and his whole floofy body wiggling in anticipation for belly rubs and neck scratches. After a quick spin in the yard to handle business, he heads inside for breakfast followed by a brisk 30-minute walk or jog, where he sniffs everything and tries to lead the way like the confident fluff-commander he is. After his morning workout, Trail Mix shifts into “office assistant” mode. If you work from home, expect frequent check-ins— head tilts, gentle paw taps, and the occasional soulful stare until you give in to a cuddle break. He’s a master at half-fetch (he’ll chase what you throw... but return it? Eh, maybe not), tug-of-war, and gently booping his head into your hand until you give him the pets he clearly deserves. He's incredibly expressive with his eyes and tiny snout, and while he can respect your space, he’ll first try every trick in the book to tempt you into giving up productivity for playtime. Ignore him too long, and he’ll casually “borrow” a pair of your jeans or backpack straps and try to sneak off like a tiny, fuzzy thief. No destruction— just a little mischief for attention. Trail Mix is all about that companionship life. He prefers to be close to his humans, keeping you in his line of sight like a devoted (and adorable) little sentinel. He’ll nap by the doorway if he can’t be right next to you, and he loves lounging near you with a chew toy, bully stick, or Kong in his paws. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was a quiet rider and cautious explorer. But now? He’s confident, cuddly, and full of curiosity. He’s an excellent snuggler, a textbook velcro dog, and an ideal balance of playfulness and couch-time cuddles. He’ll sprint with you in the morning and crash like a champion snuggler by night. Trail Mix Facts: Great with other dogs: Super friendly on walks, no barking, no reactivity. Cuddler status: Elite. He’ll win you over with just one look. Play style: Tug-of-war master, fetch-hack specialist, chew toy connoisseur. House trained: Mostly! He's on belly bands right now and doing well with supervision. Since he is recently neutered, he should soon have this mastered. Crate trained: Yep—but prefers to sleep in your room. He’s not needy, just… emotionally supportive. Separation: He’ll whine at first but does settle down. Training: Knows how to beg like a pro. Sit and stay are works in progress— he’s smart, treat-motivated, and eager to learn. Trail Mix is looking for a home where someone’s around most of the day or where there’s another playful pup to keep him company. He doesn’t need a yard, but he does need time for walks, cuddles, and the occasional zoomie session. Favorite Trail Mix Trick: Poking just his head through the door to see if you might be ready to play… then doing it again five minutes later. And again. And again. Until you surrender to the fluff. If you want a snuggly shadow who makes you laugh, keeps you moving, and is always up for love (and a little mischief), Trail Mix might just be your perfect match.

Please begin the process of claiming Trail Mix's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Trail Mix was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Trail Mix’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
