About this Dog
Opie was found roaming with two other dogs. A Good Samaritan took them in and reached out to us for help. He is 8 months old and weighs approximately 25 pounds. Opie is charismatic and full of energy. He needs a home with a fenced yard, or an adopter who is very athletic/outdoorsy. He is great with dogs, kids and adults but is still working on jumping up on people when he gets excited. He can jump almost 3 feet straight off the ground! He would do well in a multidog home. He likes to chase cats but is not aggressive. He could be cat friendly but needs more exposure. He can stay in the kennel for about 7 hours without having an accident but does not like to go into the kennel. He will go to the door to let you know when he needs out any other time. He is getting better with leash training, but he still gets excited and pulls occasionally. He loves sunbathing, squeaky toys and chew bones. He also loves pets and belly rubs but sometimes he gets overexcited and tries to chew on your hand/fingers. He is not a fan of car rides or baths, but both are new experiences for him. Opie is learning very quickly and doing very well adjusting to life indoors. Our adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vacations, vet check, fecal, deworming, neuter and a microchip. Adopt Opie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Opie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Opie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Opie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Opie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund.
