About this Dog
Adoption fee: $700 Meet Joy! 9 Months Old | 40 lbs | Lab Mix | Overflowing with Love Joy is exactly what her name promises— an absolute joy to have around! This 9 month old Lab mix was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and arrived a bit timid, scared, and shaking in her crate. But with patience, kindness, and a steady routine, her sweet, trusting heart has fully blossomed. Now, she’s a smiley, cuddly, people-loving shadow who will follow you from room to room, always ready with a kiss or a paw asking for snuggles. She wakes up around 7:30 AM, heads outside for her morning potty break, and then enjoys breakfast and a walk with her dog buddy, Charlie. Joy spends her days playing or napping close to her foster’s workspace, and in the evenings, she loves longer walks, dinner, and winding down with movie time and cuddles. When it’s time for bed, she puts herself to sleep in her crate and sleeps through the night like a champ. Joy is mellow, submissive, and incredibly affectionate. She absolutely adores people— including the family’s 12-year-old child— and gets along wonderfully with the resident 50 lb dog. She can be a bit nervous in new situations (and may have a few accidents if startled), so a family who understands and supports sensitive dogs will help her thrive. This girl is equal parts playful and chill— she lives for chasing water in the garden and can turn into a total couch potato right after. She’s mostly housetrained, crate trained, and learning to ring a bell to go outside. She does howl a little if she knows you’re home but out of sight, and she is a chewer (as Labs tend to be!), so chew toys are a must. Joy would do best in a loving home that can give her time to continue building confidence and, most importantly, make her feel safe and adored. She would love to go to a home with a confident doggy buddy who can be her playmate and show her the ropes - she truly shines when in the presence of another dog! Her expressive eyes say it all—Joy has so much love to give, and she’s just waiting for the right family to give it all to. Ready to bring some Joy into your life?

Adopt Joy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Joy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Joy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Joy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Joy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Joy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Joy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Joy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Joy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
