About this Dog
Meet Jago – the belly rub king! Jago is an 11-week-old Malamute-Husky mix who has mastered the art of asking for love. This sweet and social pup will walk up, sit politely at your feet, and wait for the affection he knows he deserves. One belly rub and he’s yours—rolling over with a happy sigh or melting back into your arms, soaking up every bit of attention.Jago is a perfect blend of playful and affectionate. He loves romping around the yard with his siblings, joining in on wrestling matches, and investigating the world around him with curiosity and confidence. But more than anything, Jago values one-on-one time with his humans—whether it's snuggles, praise, or belly rubs on repeat.Currently pen-trained and working on house training, Jago uses pee pads indoors and goes potty outside when playing in the yard. He’s familiar with crates (especially for car rides) and likes to rest in open crates at home when he’s ready for a nap. Positive reinforcement goes a long way with this smart little guy—he’s eager to learn and please! He’ll thrive in a home where his humans can give him both snuggles and structure.Jago is friendly with other dogs and would do best in a home with a well-mannered resident dog to teach him. He also does well with dog-savvy children to play with. Because he hasn’t lived with cats, he would require a proper introduction. His fluffy coat means that needs a home where he can stay cool during hot days. He’s also found his voice and may bark or howl when he’s excited or wanting attention—so he cannot live in homes with shared walls (no apartments or townhomes). A fenced yard will be required to give him space to explore and manage his energy level.Jago is scheduled for neuter surgery on July 19 and will be ready for adoption shortly afterward. If you're looking for a pup who will steal your heart (and your lap), Jago is waiting to meet you!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Adopt Jago and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jago's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Jago's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Jago, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jago's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jago was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jago’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Jago’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jago’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
