Say hello to Sherbet! Sherbet is an approximately one-year-old, nine-pound Terrier mix with a super cool wire red coat. He is full of fun Terrier 'tude and personality! Sherbet came to Chi Town Rescue from a rescue in Mexico that we are affiliated with. We help them out from time to time when their rescue is over-full and their adoptions are slow. Sherbet originally came to rescue when his owner no longer wanted him because he was "impregnating all her female dogs"... the rescue neutered Sherbet and voila! problem solved. ;-) Sherbet has a lot of fun energy and is always happy to meet a new friend. He enjoys running and playing but also enjoys lap time and pets; the best of both worlds! Sherbet likes if you interact with him, but he can also go off on his own and explore or make his own fun. He enjoys toys and will fetch the ball and bring it back to you. Sherbet is full of Terrier curiosity and intelligence and would love a family that can keep up with his energy and smarts- could that family be yours? Adopt Sherbet and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sherbet's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sherbet was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sherbet’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sherbet’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sherbet’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
