Mama Rita and her eight puppies were on the kill list at a high kill CA shelter. We could not let them happen, and were fortunate to find a wonderful last minute foster to take them in. Rita is very sweet and calm. She gives lots of kisses and just wants to be close to her people. Rita does great on a leash and is very food motivated. She knows a few commands (no, come) and iis a quick learner so will pick up more easily. Rita does great will kids of all ages and adults. She has done well with other (large) dogs and is being fostered with a cat. Although she has shown some interest in the cat so might do better in a house without cats. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mama Rita's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mama Rita was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mama Rita’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mama Rita’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
