Look at this beautiful calico girl! Lumi can be reserved initially, taking a bit of time to warm up to new situations and people. She does really well being swaddled (kitten purr-ito) and getting carried around the house like a baby by our 7 year old. When swaddled/carried, she is not phased by dogs or activity, but those things can make her nervous otherwise. She enjoys playing with toys and will fall asleep while swaddled and getting loved on. She is a pretty low-maintenance, lower-energy kitten who loves Churu treats. If she is an only cat, she would do best in a calm home. If the home is busier, she will likely take some time to come out of her shell, and she would likely do well with an outgoing feline sibling who can help her with that. Great with the litter box, not destructive, and she has been introduced to young children as well as big and small dogs. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lumi's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lumi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lumi’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
