Hi there, I'm Merlin! I’m just a little guy, only 6 months old, but I’ve already been through more than most cats ever will. You see, I wasn’t always safe. Once upon a time, I was living in some woods behind a parking lot, all alone. Something bad happened—something tried to hurt me and grabbed me by my tail. It was really scary, but somehow I managed to escape. My tail didn’t make it through, though. I had to have it removed because the wound was too bad. Now I look a little different from the other cats—I’m a short-tailed wonder—but that’s okay. It just makes me special! Some people say I look like a Manx, but I'm just Merlin, the brave boy who doesn’t let anything stop him. Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. I’m full of love and joy, and I’m looking for my forever home. My favorite things in the world are cuddles and playtime. I may be small, but I’ve got a big heart! Every night, I jump up into bed (I love bedtime!) and curl up beside my person. I just flop over and start purring—purr purr purr—while I stretch out my little paws, hoping they'll give me scratches behind my ears and smooth my shiny whiskers. It makes me feel safe, loved, and happy, and I can’t wait to do that with my new family. I get along with everyone—other pets, new people, you name it! I don’t hold grudges. Life’s too short for that. I’m a playful little guy, always up for an adventure, and I promise I’ll keep you laughing with my antics and brighten your days with my snuggles. I would LOVE to have a kitty friend to play with! I’ve been through a lot, but I believe in magic. And I know my magic is waiting to find you. Adopt Merlin and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Merlin's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Merlin was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Merlin’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Merlin’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Merlin’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
