My name is JESSE and here is a little info about me:Breed: Ibizian Hound/Canaan Dog mixAge: 5 monthsGender: maleWeight: 8 kgHeight: tbdCountry of origin: UAEHighlight(s): gentle, sweet, loving, snugglyI might be the quiet one and the smallest boy in the bunch, but I have a huge loving heart.Rescued from the streets of the United Arab Emirates, my mama, Jacqueline (also posted) was struggling to survive in a workshop in the industrial area. Cold, coated in machinery oil, and clinging to life, she had just two days earlier given birth beneath a semi truck. She was doing everything she could to shield us newborns from a world that had never shown her kindness. She was starving, shivering and purely in survival mode. Ten tiny lives depended on her. She tried to protect us, didn’t sleep— just prayed for morning and tried to find food. And then, finally… help came. They took mama and all us babies from the cruel and lonely streets for a second chance. Seven of us survived, sadly two of my siblings passed away. We are all beautiful and sweet just like our mama. Finding homes in my country is hard. 2 of my siblings have found homes, the rest of us are waiting.While it may take a little time for me to feel comfortable, once I trust you… get ready for cuddles, kisses, and me following you everywhere like your tiny shadow.I'm a gentle little guy who loves soft blankets, cozy corners, and calm company (though I’ll totally join in for zoomies when the mood strikes.) I have a thoughtful little face, and my rescuer says I’m “pure sweetness and so gentle." Like my siblings, I still need leash work as I haven’t gotten much chance to do that with so many of us rescued, so I need patience and some time. The same with house training, I am doing really good so far, but just give me a short time and I will perfect it.I get along fabulous with other dogs and while there is no video proof, my rescuer says kids and cats are a-ok on my list too.So, if you're looking for a soft, loving pup who’ll be your snuggle buddy for life—I’m right here, wagging my little tail just for you.Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknown, rescuer states yes, but no videoKids: unknown, likely, as I am a puppy yet, no video proofFears: none observed. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper.
