About this Dog
Pal's Place would love to introduce you to an adorable group of seven precious and perfect pups! Our adoptable "S" litter (Silver, Sapphire, Stuart, Shelby, Stanley, Sable, and Shiloh) are mixed-breed puppies seeking loving forever homes. Their appearance and characteristics suggest a family tree consisting of multiple breeds, most likely belonging to the Hound and Herding groups of dogs. We suspect Catahoula Leopard Dog, Australian Shepherd, and/or Cattledog, Coonhound, German Shepherd, and other similar breeds can be found in their ancestry. These sweethearts are about 3.5 months old (as of 6/16), weigh between 20 and 25 pounds, and are ready and anxious for families! They were rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky and are now in a loving foster home in Chicago, waiting to meet their forever families. Since these little squirts were rescued from an animal control facility, we have no information about their parents' breeds or backgrounds. Their listed breed mix and estimated adult sizes are educated and informed guesses. Both parents were most likely mixed breeds, and the puppies in this litter are likely a combination of several breeds. However, we can confidently say that they are 100% puppy perfection! These puppies are a bit large for their age, and we are estimating an adult size ranging from 70 to 90 pounds. Stuart (M) is the largest, weighing in at a whopping 25 pounds. Shelby (F) is the smallest at 20 pounds. There are three females and four males in the litter. They are all very friendly, social, curious, and happy puppies and will make first-rate companions! Given their breed type, we expect them to mature into energetic and intelligent dogs that will do best with active families who can provide outlets for their very high-energy levels and intelligence. Couch potatoes they are not, and they all love to stay busy busy!! They love people and other dogs and are eager and excited to get out into the world with their new families. Puppies are CUTE and lovable, but also require a lot of patience and work as they grow up and learn about the world around them. Remember that puppies this age need frequent potty breaks (every 2-3 hours or so) and lots of playtime, training, guidance, and supervision throughout the day for the next several months. Please consider if you truly have the time and energy to raise a very young, high-energy working breed puppy before applying. Their adoption fee to the rescue is $475 per puppy. This fee helps to cover their medical expenses while in our care. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, and are taking monthly flea/heartworm preventatives. This litter is in a foster home and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved. For more info or an application, please email [email protected] or visit our website at palsplacerescue.org. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for more than three days after an application has been received and approved for a meeting. Please do not apply to adopt unless you are ready to welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. Adopt Shelby and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Shelby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Shelby's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Shelby, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Shelby's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shelby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shelby’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Shelby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shelby’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
