About this Dog
MAX - 7 1/2 years old, 75 pounds, house trained, lovable, energetic loves treats, highly food motivated. ZOEY - 7 years 11 months old, 75 pounds, house trained, protective of owners, loves tennis balls. They were loved and cared for their whole 7+ years and now due to a deployment for their owner, they are behind bars. Big beautiful Zoey is striking with her black and tan color and long, fluffy and strong German Shepherd tail. She was a little more hesitant meeting me than Max but she warmed up quickly. Max, on the other hand, jumped up on me within a few minutes of our meeting and tried giving me kisses when I took a seat. Max is mostly tan with his long, fluffy and strong German Shepherd tail. Max and Zoey sit regally, tall and quickly for treats which they love and are easily motivated by. Both Max and Zoey are playful and love plush and squeaky toys. Zoey loves tennis balls, too. Max and Zoey enjoy car rides and walks. They both walk pretty well on their leashes although no holds are barred if they see an outdoor cat. LOL They sleep in their crates at night and it seems they can be trusted roaming free when left alone. Zoey will follow you around like a shadow. The owner stated that Max is bonded with Zoey and neither do well with other dogs. They are okay with children but need slow introductions. These two large size pooches are wonderful when they know you. It might take a little time for that to happen but that's ok. Letting a dog settle in at his or her own pace is a great way to have a successful integration in a new family. Max and Zoey are currently in our large dog adoption kennel. Come on in to meet them!
