About this Cat
***I am bonded with my brother, Joey, and we must be adopted together.***Zoey and Joey arrived from to their original shelter in Creston, IA as very, very shy teenage kittens. The shelter tried to work with them, but their limited volunteer and foster network meant they weren't making a lot of progress. They were transferred to our shelter in the hopes one of our fosters could work their magic. Despite the best work and love from our foster families that work with scared cats, Zoey and Joey have just never seemed happy being indoor companion cats. Zoey has made more progress than Joey, but still seems she would prefer to be a cat doing her thing outdoors without much human interference. So Zoey and Joey will be part of our Working Cats Program.Because they don't have a lot of experience fending for themselves outside, we'd like them to go to a home who genuinely enjoys their barn cats and will closely look after them and make sure they're settling in well to the property. We have all of the confidence in the world they will be excellent mousers for the property once they settle in!The Ames Animal Shelter's WORKING CATS PROGRAM offers an environmentally-safe alternative to poisonous pest controls. Our working cats, who aren't suited for indoor living due to their feral or semi-feral behavior, would love to spend their lives helping to control your warehouse, ranch, mill or barn's rodent and pest population. All they ask for in return is shelter, food, water and care.Best of all, when you give our working cats a job, you're saving the lives of homeless pets who otherwise would not have been suitable for adoption. There is no adoption fee for working cats, who are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and have tested negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.

100% of ZOEY's Dogecoin balance will be sent to whoever adopts ZOEY.
Adopt ZOEY and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, ZOEY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is ZOEY's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the ZOEY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming ZOEY's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ZOEY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ZOEY’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."

We want the ZOEY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ZOEY’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
