About this Cat
Meet Blue Dahlia – a quiet beauty with a gentle heart and a blossoming spirit. Blue has been in foster care since June 9 and has blossomed into a loving and affectionate cat—on her terms. She doesn’t like being picked up, but she’s quick to jump into the chair beside you and often ends up on your lap once she’s comfortable. At night, she sleeps at the end of the bed on her blanket, and sometimes you’ll wake up to find her cuddled up at your side. Blue is still skittish with sudden movements, loud noises, or new people. She tends to hide when visitors come over, though she may come out after a few hours—just not to socialize. She’s accepted the foster’s daughter during overnight visits, but only after a bit of time. She’s very bonded with her foster and follows her to sit nearby. Blue has incredibly soft fur and enjoys being brushed and petted once trust is earned. It took about a week for her to feel safe enough to accept touch, but she’s become more social each day. Blue is not a fan of small kennels, but she has started going into a larger open crate on her own. She uses her litter box reliably, eats well, and will let you know if she’s hungry—or if she doesn’t like her food. She recognizes her name and will come when called, especially when food is involved. She also greets her foster when they return home. Blue loves watching the world go by from a window or a sunny perch, and it’s essential her forever home offers a good view outside—she’d be very bored without it. She’s just beginning to play with small fuzzy toys, a wand toy, and a laser pointer. She would do best in a quiet home with no other pets or children. Her foster says she’d keep her if she could but is moving in with family who cannot take on a pet. Blue is scheduled for dental work on the 28th; if she’s not adopted before then, her foster will transport her for the procedure. Blue is a gentle soul who just needs a little time and patience to bloom. Once she trusts you, she’s a devoted, quiet companion who brings a soft, steady joy. Blue Dahlia is from an owner surrender. Adopt Blue Dahlia and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Blue Dahlia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Blue Dahlia's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Blue Dahlia, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Blue Dahlia's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Blue Dahlia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Blue Dahlia’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Blue Dahlia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Blue Dahlia’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
