About this Cat
If you're looking for the purr-fect blend of cuddles and playfulness then meet Smudgie Pie, the most affectionate little cow cat you'll ever meet! With the cutest little smudge on her nose (hence the name!), Smudgie Pie is as unique as she is lovable. This sweet girl was found bravely fending for herself in the woods behind some houses, but you’d never guess it from her affectionate nature. She has fully embraced the cushy, indoor life and never wants to leave! Smudgie Pie is all about playtime—chasing spring toys is her absolute favorite way to expend that kitten energy. After that, she’s more than happy to curl up for cuddles and purrs and loves to nudge you with her nose to show affection in her own little way. Smudgie Pie is inquisitive and talkative. If she hasn't seen you in a while you'll get a full greeting with her chirps and little meows. She’s fully litter box trained, spayed, and up to date on all vetting. Smudgie’s tail has an old injury—likely from her time surviving outdoors—but it’s healing nicely and doesn’t stop her one bit. Smudgie Pie gets along wonderfully with other cats and dogs, she'd love to be friends with them all! She's finally won over my resident cat and loves to snuggle up to him for a nap. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion with a resilient heart and a one-of-a-kind look, Smudgie Pie is your gal! Smudge Pie was found as a stray. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.

Adopt Smudgie Pie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Smudgie Pie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Smudgie Pie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Smudgie Pie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Smudgie Pie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Smudgie Pie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Smudgie Pie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Smudgie Pie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Smudgie Pie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
