Although he can be slow to warm up to new people, once he knows you, you are a forever friend (and playmate...he really loves tennis balls!) Jake is hoping for a new family that will initially keep his bubble small and safe. To Jake, new people and dogs can be pretty scary. He might do best living with a calm dog friend, or perhaps be the only dog in the home. He could possibly live with a dog savvy cat with a slow introduction. Jake got along well with the teenagers in his previous home, and could most likely go home with children that can participate in his management plan and respect his boundaries!

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, JAKE's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and JAKE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, JAKE’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the JAKE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, JAKE’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
