Scout's ideal home is tranquil, steady, and gentle. Scout would be overwhelmed by a loud or rowdy environment—no bustling schedules, sudden noises, or wild energy. She thrives where the days are soft and predictable, where the humans speak kindly and move gently, and where there’s room to exhale. Another dog in the home is an absolute must for Scout. She looks to her furry friends for reassurance, follows their lead, and gains courage from their calm confidence. Whether it’s a slow stroll through the yard or a quiet moment on the couch, she’s happiest when she’s not alone in her journey. What is my personality like? Meet Scout – A Delicate Darling in Search of Stillness and Sweet Companionship. Scout is a quiet little soul with a heart full of hope. She’s not looking for chaos or commotion—she’s looking for peace. The kind of peace that comes with slow mornings, warm laps, gentle words, and the presence of someone who understands that love, like trust, sometimes blooms best in stillness. Now, let’s talk about leashes. Scout… is not a fan. She finds them a bit alarming, to be honest. If she had it her way, she’d prefer to be carried like the princess she truly is. Wrapped in your arms, tucked close to your chest—that’s where she feels safest, bravest, and most at peace. Scout is looking for guidance, not perfection. She’s looking for a family who will meet her where she is, who will walk slowly beside her (or carry her when needed), and who understands that the most beautiful bonds are the ones that grow gently, day by day. If your heart beats a little slower, if your home is a haven, and if your arms are ready to hold a dog who just wants to feel safe, Scout is waiting. She won’t ask for much—just patience, love, a furry best friend, and a quiet place to finally call home. How do I act when I first meet new people? Scout isn’t the kind of pup who bursts into a room. She tiptoes. Watches. Waits. She may not climb into your arms right away, but give her time, patience, and kindness, and you’ll soon find her curled against you, melting into your affection like she’s been there forever. Other tips and tidbits: Scout is estimated at 4 years old. We celebrate her birthday 06/05/2021. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
