Tulip is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Tulip arrived in rescue from poor conditions. She and all the dogs in the home have been proactively treated for mange. Weight: 5.5 lbs Height: 9 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Tulip is the go-with-the-flow queen. If the other dogs are napping, she’s napping. If they’re sniffing something suspicious in the yard, guess who’s politely standing behind them pretending she discovered it first? Tulip. She’s got just the right amount of follower energy mixed with quiet confidence. All she really needs is another dog friend to show her the ropes, reassure her that the vacuum isn’t possessed, and maybe share a snack or two. What is my personality like? Meet Tulip – Your Easy-Breezy Bestie in the Making. Tulip is that rare gem of a pup who just… goes with the flow. Whether it's time to chase the day with an adventure or cozy up on the couch with a blanket and a snack, she's perfectly content to do whatever you (or her doggy friends) have in mind. Chill day - She’s down. Park trip - She’s ready. Backyard sunbathing - Say no more. This little poodle mix has mastered the art of being present without pressure, and her favorite pastime is simply being part of the pack — especially if that pack includes another confident dog. Tulip isn’t one to lead the charge, but she loves to follow along. She watches, she learns, and she joins in once she knows the vibe is right. Tulip is friendly and warm with people, sweetly observant and quietly affectionate. She doesn’t demand attention, but she’s always happy to receive it. Inside, outside, cuddling, strolling, or snoozing — Tulip adapts. Leashes - She doesn’t quite get them yet, but she’s not panicked about it. She's more like, “So you’re telling me this fancy rope thing is how we both go outside now - Interesting…” Tulip came from a tough start, and she’s learned to keep her expectations low and her heart open. But now she’s ready for the good life. Preferably one with snacks, snuggles, and a confident canine roommate who’s cool sharing the remote. How do I act when I first meet new people? Tulip is not overly timid, just calmly cautious until she knows she’s safe. Other tips and tidbits: Tulip arrived in rescue as part of a puppy mill. We have no history on her. Based on her overall health and condition our veterinarian has aged her at 11 months old. We celebrate her birthday 08/18/2024. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
