DANTE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Dante Best Guess for Breed: Standard Poodle Best Guess for Age: 2 yrs 4 months as of June 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 47 lbs Gets Along With: All people, including kids! We haven't seen him with cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Special Adoption Considerations: Dante arrived from Puerto Rico fairly recently and is still adjusting to his completely new environment. He is showing a clear preference for humans during this adjustment. At this time, we recommend that Dante be the only dog in the home. Currently Living at: DC Foster Dante is Looking For: A family who will give him all the love he deserves! He's had quite the ride...his elderly owner in Puerto Rico was unable to take care of him, and had tied him outside. A generous neighbor offered to find a better situation for him, took him to the vet, and asked for help from our Puerto Rico partner, Love for Satos, to find him a better home! He's a happy boy who looks forward to a family who will give him plenty of opportunities to walk, run, and play, and who wants to snuggle once the day is done. Could you be the one to start his next chapter? What My Foster Says About Me: Dante is the perfect mix of playful and laid-back. He’s calm and relaxed in the house but always ready for an adventure when it’s time for a walk or a trip to the dog park. Dante is incredibly friendly, great with people of all ages, and eager to please—especially when treats are involved! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dante's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dante was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dante’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
