About this Dog
Meet Hunter! A True Gentleman with a Heart of Gold! Hunter's story began with uncertainty—he came into the shelter as a stray, clearly once loved, but sadly never reclaimed. During his initial vet check, it was discovered that he had heartworm. But this resilient boy didn’t let that slow him down! He bravely completed his treatment and is now officially 4DX negative—healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home! Hunter is a 5–6-year-old Black-Mouth Cur mix with a calm, affectionate nature and a heart full of love. He’s the kind of dog who thrives on companionship—whether it’s lounging on the couch with his humans (paws crossed like royalty!) or romping around the yard with his doggie pals. He’s agile, playful, and enjoys leisurely walks, so a fenced backyard would be perfect for his daily adventures. This sweet boy is crate, house, and doggie door trained, and he knows how to sit—especially when treats are involved! Hunter gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be a great addition to a home with existing furry family members. His foster family adores him, and it’s easy to see why—he’s affectionate, well-mannered, and always ready to make new friends. Hunter would be an ideal companion for a single person, a couple, or a family with older children looking for a loyal, low-maintenance, and fun-loving friend. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be part of the family—sharing love, laughter, and lots of couch time. Could Hunter be your new best friend? Adopt Hunter and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Hunter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Hunter's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Hunter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Hunter's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hunter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hunter’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hunter’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
