Meet Bear, a stunning young German Shepherd with a big heart and even bigger potential. Bear was adopted in August 2024, gifted to us a family by a former co-worker. Sadly, due to recent family health challenges and demanding work schedules, they can no longer give Bear the time and attention he truly deserves. Despite his young age, Bear is already showing the classic traits of a German Shepherd—bright, alert, and deeply devoted. He’s crate-trained and comfortable spending time in the backyard and he is housebroken. Good With Other Dogs and Cats: Yes Kids: We have not seen him around kids but he has yet to meet a stranger so we think he will do well. Housebroken: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Vaccinations: Up-to-date on Rabies and DHPPC ❤️ Heartworm Preventative: Current (Last given 02/22/2025, tested negative same day) About Bear: Bear is truly a teddy bear at heart—sweet-natured, very friendly, and always eager for affection. He has a natural protective streak, as is typical of his breed, but it’s paired with a playful and loving personality. He loves being around people and other dogs, and thrives on attention and interaction. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bear's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bear was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bear’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
