Meet a Special Kitty Looking for a Special Home! Currently in foster care in Salem, OR This handsome 4–5-year-old gentleman is affectionate, playful, and full of personality. Abandoned by a former owner, he is now safe in a loving foster home, where he lives peacefully with two other cats after a slow, successful introduction. He hasn't lived with dogs before, so a dog-free or calm-dog home would be best. He absolutely thrives with attention and interaction. He’s smart and food-motivated — he’s even learned how to fist bump and jump for treats! His playful energy makes him a delight to have around, and he enjoys both interactive play and solo toy time. While he's never been outside, he loves his catio and would appreciate a home that offers safe outdoor enrichment like that. He does best with companionship, so if he’s going to be an only pet, he shouldn’t be left alone all day — he needs a human who’s around or perhaps a friendly animal buddy. Important to Know: Vet visits require a little planning — he does best with pre-visit sedation, which your vet can provide easily in advance. Grooming and nail trims are a challenge — he’s a fluffy guy who needs upkeep, though his current foster has managed this with patience and care. He is returnable — though we know the right adopter will fall in love for good. This cat would thrive in a home with an experienced adopter who can provide the attention, structure, and love he needs. He's still young and full of life — ready to blossom in the right home.
