About this Dog
Meet Oliver This 2.5 year old love bug who came into rescue with his sister Cece. Initially it was believed that the 2 were bonded, and in a sense, they are, however this bond has proven not to be the healthiest for them each as individuals. They were surrendered due to unanticipated health concerns of a family member. Due to these issues, they were not able to get the basic training typically provided during puppyhood. In addition, what we have observed during their time in foster care with one of our most experienced fosters is that Ollie and Cece are experiencing littermate syndrome. The decision to separate them has not come easily, but we are confident that in doing so, each dog will have the opportunity to grow and become confident as individuals and ultimately will be less stressed. Ollie has a mellow and loving personality. He is easy-going and while shy at first, he warms up when he feels comfortable, at which it will become a love fest of kisses. Ollie has a great appetite; he is a pug after all. He has a history of urinary crystals which have resolved. Continuing on a high-quality diet and ensuring he always has enough fresh water available should keep his urinary tract healthy. Ollie gets a bit anxious on car rides and would prefer riding in the front seat, but he is getting used to being secured in the back seat for safety. Ollie is not crate trained. He has happily been sleeping in bed with his foster dad and his pack, so if you aren't into sleeping with pugs, he may not be the dog for you. In his original home, Ollie was doing some marking. Now in a different environment, it is actually his littermate Cece who has more marking behaviors. Being in a multi dog foster home where older dogs use pee pads, he has marked a couple of times, but we believe a belly band and close monitoring in their new home may improve that behavior even further. Ollie is still learning about not jumping up while humans eat; he will sit after about 3 commands of off. Each meal reinforces his good behavior. We would like to place Ollie in a home with other dogs. He gets along well with all of the dogs in his current foster home, and he does better on walks with companion dogs who are not his sister than he does on his own. He is learning a lot from the rest of the pack inn his foster home as far as how to be a dog. We believe he will benefit from the companionship of other dogs, especially in the absence of his sister's obsession with him. One or 2 well-adjusted confident dogs to show him how to comingle in a healthy environment would be optimal. He has not been cat tested, but he checks in with the chickens next door through the fence and is living harmoniously with a free flying cockatiel with no prey drive behaviors exhibited. He has gotten on well with children he's met in the neighborhood, and we think a family with older respectful children would be a nice fit for Olliver. Ollie recently started on a low dose of Prozac to address some anxiety and has responded well. This may be needed long term or getting into his new home may result in further progress where the medication would no longer be needed. If you are someone who is ready to help a great dog be an even better version of himself through patience, love and positive reinforcement, we think the rewards will be amazing for everyone! Adoption Fee: $750.00 based on his age ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS FOR OLIVER: Ollie would do best with 1 or 2 companion dogs. He has not been cat tested, but we believe he would do fine with a dog friendly feline Children aged 8 and older considered Desire to help Oliver continue on his path to greatness through patience, kindness and love Fenced yard not required but preferred. Adopt Ollie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ollie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Ollie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Ollie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ollie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ollie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ollie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ollie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
