About this Dog
Romeo is a 5–7-year-old brown dachshund who’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest curled up next to his person. He has a playful side, but overall he’s a mellow cuddle bug. Bruno, his best friend, is a senior with terminal cancer and is now a hospice case. He’s incredibly sweet, food-motivated, and enjoys slow days filled with sunshine, snacks, and love. Despite his diagnosis, he’s still full of heart and deserves to live out his golden days surrounded by kindness and comfort. They’re dog-friendly with respectful pups and would thrive in a calm, nurturing environment. Bruno’s medical expenses are covered by the rescue through the foster program, and the goal is to keep these boys together so Bruno doesn’t have to go through the stress of being separated from Romeo.
