About this Dog
GOOSE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Goose Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 4 months as of 7/13/25 SEX: Male Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 35 lbs as of 7/13/25 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Goose is Looking For: This utterly adorable pup is one of a litter of four (Gem, Goose, Gander, and Goff). Their mama Girly raised them to be amazing family pets and now they're ready to split up and find their forever homes! This sweetie is ISO play time and snuggles and more play time. And sniffy walks and romps in parks and world exploration - and wants to make pup pals along the way. And puppy school, to learn to be the bestest pup! Tops on the wish list, though, is always knowing he's safe and loved, knowing where he belongs - and knowing upon whom to bestow all the adoring gazes and tail wags and love and loyalty he has in him. Will that be you? What My Foster Says About Me: Goose is the sweetest and friendliest pup all around! He is super cuddly with people and very social with other dogs! He loves to play with my 3 year old cattle dog and plays very well with other friendly neighborhood dogs. He is also a very smart boy! He already knows to sit and responds to his name when called. He is working on “come” and “down” which he’s starting to get the hang of quickly - he’s very treat motivated and very trainable. He is doing well with potty training and knows to potty outside as long as he has the opportunity to go about every hour while he’s out of his crate. He has been introduced to my cats a few times and is a little timid but curious around them so would likely adjust just fine to living with cats! Goose is absolutely adorable and a pleasure to take care of! He’s a very good boy! Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than September 16, 2025. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. Adopt Goose and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Goose's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Goose's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Goose, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Goose's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Goose was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Goose’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Goose’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Goose’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
