Meet Luke – 4-Year-Old Male Malinois MixLuke, located near St Paul, MN is a sweetheart who's left his wild puppy days behind. At 4 years old, he's calm, affectionate, and completely devoted to his person. He’s crate-trained, quiet, and content to snooze in his crate or on a dog bed beside you—but he’d prefer to sleep right next to you.Luke rarely barks unless he's crated and can’t see his people. He loves belly rubs and snuggling up at bedtime. He forms strong bonds with his person and thrives on that connection.He may need more socialization with new people. We think he may have been hit by his previous foster (the LEO who left him at animal control with a broken leg). With dogs, he’s selective—he gets along fine with a calm older female GSD but doesn't mesh with high-energy males. Luke shows interest in cats and wags his tail when he sees them (always supervised or separated by a gate).Luke really needs an experienced handler who can give him the time and space to decompress and understand his signals. He's very slow to warm up and needs someone who can be patient and understanding with him. PS: He might be a fence jumper—he carefully eyes every fence as if calculating whether he could clear it. So far, we’re not giving him the chance! All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and one-year subscription.
