About this Dog
Meet Zuul (aka Zilly, Zuu, Zuula Girl, Z) — A Shy Girl with a Brave HeartZuul is a 1-year-old mixed breed with soulful eyes, a quirky spirit, and 40 lbs of quiet courage, all wrapped into a gorgeous brindle coat. She’s a gentle dog who’s slowly learning that the world isn’t so scary — and every day, she gets a little braver. Though she’s still on the sheepish side at first, Zuul has come a long way and is starting to explore her playful, silly self. She’s fully house-trained and crate-trained, and she does beautifully with other dogs and even cats. She loves curling up for long, peaceful naps, either snuggled up next to her person, or on the floor nearby. Blankets are a fan fave for this girl, as are antlers and bones. Zuul has no front teeth (top or bottom), which only adds to her charm — especially when she flashes her gummy grin. This does not affect her or her eating in any manner at all. She also makes the sweetest little growl noises when she’s happy, like a purring dog version of contentment. While she’s still working on her leash skills, she’s already making steady progress and enjoying her walks more every day, though it takes some coaxing to get her out of the yard.Zuul’s ideal home is a patient one where she can feel safe and settle in at her own pace. She may boof at strangers or dogs passing by out of apprehension, but she quiets down quickly once she realizes everything is okay. She’s easily spooked by loud noises, sudden movements, and dark spaces, and sometimes she’ll dart or hide when startled. While she’s still hesitant to play openly when people are watching, little bursts of goofiness are starting to peek through, and her zoomies are the cutest. And yes — she has a soft spot for stealing shoes. You’ll want to keep an eye on your favorites, because if she gets the chance, she’ll happily turn them into chew toys or snuggle buddies. Even so, she understands the word “no” and is very keen to stop what she’s doing at the first command when needed, and is quickly learning what belongs to her and what doesn’t.Despite all her quirks, Zuul doesn’t have a single mean bone in her body. She’s soft, sweet, and steadily blooming into a more confident version of herself. She has shown zero tendencies towards aggression at all, even when startled or unsure. She’s more a freeze/flight girl than a fight girl. Overall, Zuul is the perfect addition if you’re looking for a dog who has it all, but just needs a little bit of love to let her true colors shine.Zuul is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting 5/11 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.

Adopt Zuul and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Zuul's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Zuul's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Zuul, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Zuul's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zuul was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zuul’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Zuul’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zuul’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
