About this Bird
Hatch Date: 1999 Dali is a 26-year-old Blue-Crowned Conure, suspected to be a male. We think he’s male as he’s 26 years old and has never laid an egg before. "Hello! My name is Dali, like the artist. I was born in 1999 and spent almost all of my life in a cage. The family that adopted me had me for a long time (about 20 years), but never took the time to hold me, so I don't like hands. I don't mind if humans, and I am not aggressive. I love the attention and conversation. I especially like it when you sing to me. My favorite song is Rockin' Robin, and anything by Harry Belafonte. Occasionally, I’ll get brave and venture out of my cage, but I'm not really good at flying because I don't have much experience. I'll step up onto your clothed arm when I'm done exploring, but I really don't like hands and fingers (unless they are holding a treat). I like grapes, apples, bananas, and raw peanuts. I'm not aggressive, but if I’m not in the mood to interact, I might lunge. I'm ok with dogs and other animals because there were always other animals around me my entire life. I'm hoping to find a nice family that likes music, has other friendly animals, knows what I need, and will take it slow with me. I'm just an old man looking for a safe place to retire." He is not hand-tame, but he will climb right up onto your shoulder when he’s out of his cage. He just does not want to be touched or held; everything has to be on his terms. He has been around women his whole life, but my brother just got home from college, and so far, we haven't noticed any difference in how he interacts with him vs. women, He’s never been around kids, so I would say he’s probably not the best bird for a family with young children He requires a lot of patience, and someone with some experience would be preferred. Dali is not super loud, he’ll make it known when he wants your attention. He will give a loud squawk when he hears a door open, but mostly throughout the day, he just kind of chatters. Dali is being fostered in Bloomfield, NJ He will only be adopted into a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds. For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA We do not have a central location. Dali is living in a volunteer's private homeWe only allow approved applicants to make visits. Adopt Dali and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dali's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Dali's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Dali, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Dali's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dali was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dali’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Dali’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dali’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
