Marcy aka Marcela came into the rescue very pregnant. She had 7 babies! She was a great mom and very protective of them. Since she has been spayed and her hormones continue to calm down, she has become very sweet. She does have some bite tendencies as she gets over stimulated or nervous. She needs to be in a home with no small kids. Older kids must have an understanding of cats and how to pick up on social cues to avoid provoking a bite. We believe with time and patience, Marcy will stop doing this once she feels safe and secure.

After verifying the adoption, Marcela's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Marcela was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Marcela’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Marcela’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Marcela’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
