Brutus is all about the simple joys in life—he loves his meals, daily walks, and meeting new people (especially if they come with pets or snacks). Brutus is crate trained and sleeps peacefully on his dog bed in his foster human’s room at night. He’s currently enrolled in a beginner training class and making great progress—he’s smart, eager to please, and just needs a little guidance. Give him a splashy puddle, treat or a belly rub, and he’ll be your best friend and give you lots of kisses. He gets along well with his foster dog sibling that’s similar size. Brutus is looking for a family who will appreciate his goofy, lovable nature and continue helping him build his confidence and manners. If you’ve got treats, time, and a spot on the couch, Brutus might just be your perfect match! Brutus‘s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter microchip, current vaccines and monthly preventatives plus a free training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Brutus is seeking an indoor only home; Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any previous animals altered, kept current on all vaccines, and as indoor pets only. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.

Adopt Brutus and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Brutus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Brutus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Brutus’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Brutus’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
