About this Dog
7/17/25 Please share! Betty needs a home! She’s been in rescue since April. Betty would make a great hiking/running partner!! Betty loves other dogs! ⚖️She is the perfect size dog at 25-30 pounds! She is full grown. ⭐️BREED- We were told that Betty's dad is a Mountain Feist/American Coonhound mix and her mom is an Australian Shepherd. ⭐️AGE-estimated DOB 8/18/24 making her about 11 months old. She is house trained and crate trained!! Cats- She met a cat at the vet and was good. She sniffed him as he walked past (the cat ignored her completely). I think she’ll be just fine with cats. ENERGY/PERSONALITY-She is high energy and has what I’d call a little bit of little (wo)man syndrome. At times she barks when she wants something and it may take a little time to quiet her down. She will bark if she wants something/isn't getting what she wants. She'll bark at the other dogs if she wants them to play and they do not want to. Kind of like a kid! The key is to tire her out!! She loves to play with toys and loves to play fetch, though she doesn’t always bring it back. She loves to play with other dogs. A fenced yard will likely be best for her due to her energy and lack of recall, but this can be negotiable depending on the situation. RIDES- Rides were new to her when she came into rescue. She has made great progress! She now seems to enjoy rides but does get a bit nervous. ⭐️LEASH- She walks on a leash and enjoys going for walks but she does pull so that needs to be worked on. ⭐️KIDS- She has been around 13 year olds and a 7 year old and has done well. She seems to really like kids! She does jump when she gets excited. Sometimes if she thinks there is something in my hand that she wants (food, toys) she will jump up and try to grab it from my hand. She can be rough sometimes and just gets overly excited! ⭐️She is food motivated! She is learning "sit" and we are working on not jumping which she is getting much better with. ⭐️She loves people and has the adorable wiggle but and tail wag when her people get home from work. ⭐️HER STORY- An elderly person had got Betty from a backyard breeder situation when she was a puppy. They decided Betty was too much for an older person, and put her for free on Facebook. Free puppies is never a good thing, so we stepped in and took her before she ended up in a bad situation or bounced from home to home. ⭐️She is a really cool dog! She could likely do some agility work if someone had the time to work w/ her on it. We have tons more pics and videos! In New England She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Adopt Betty and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Betty's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Betty's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Betty, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Betty's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Betty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Betty’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Betty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Betty’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
