Dexter is calm, composed and untroubled. He is a loafer and big ole couch potato! Dexter will sit next to his human companion; head bump your hand for petting and then goes on his way. He spends his day lounging on a windowsill or on a comfy cat bed. Dexter doesn't require much attention and prefers it that way. He goes for cat treats and burns up the calories by chasing the red dot from a laser light. Dexter's ideal home is with someone that would enjoy a tranquil companion that doesn't need special treatment or attention. He doesn't mind other cats or dogs as long as they can coincide without much interaction. Dexter is a 5-year-old buff tiger tabby weighing in at 13 pounds! He is too heavy to carry around and he is absolutely okay with that! Dexter's adoption fee is $60. Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dexter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dexter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dexter’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
