Meet SAMSON! SAMSON was saved from a high-kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine, on March 15th, 2025. We post our available dogs across the East Coast and Canada to reach as many people as possible in hopes of finding them the perfect homes and families. We do not transport dogs—families must come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine, to meet and, hopefully, take their new companion home. He is affectionate, smart, and thrives in an active environment with structure and love. Energetic, powerful, and loving Walks well on a leash Travels great in the car Needs regular mental stimulation and an active lifestyle ⚠️ High prey drive – not suitable for homes with small dogs, cats, or small animals Texas shelter staff noted: When greeting another large dog on leash, Samson approached with a loose, wiggly body and wagging tail. What SAMSON Needs We’re looking for a home that can provide: An active, safe, and structured environment Good quality food, treats, and enrichment toys Regular veterinary care and wellness checks ❤️ A patient, committed family who understands the needs of a large, intelligent breed. As a young and energetic German Shepherd, he needs guidance, exercise, and affection—and he will give back love and loyalty tenfold. After verifying the adoption, SAMSON - $350's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and SAMSON - $350 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, SAMSON - $350’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
