About this Dog
07/21/25 08:05What did we do on todayâs adventure: Today I got to go out and spend a couple hours doing my very favorite thing â sniffing!! I was so excited when I got in the car I had to roll all around in the backseat. Then we got to the park, and I got to sniff so many new smells!! I spent so much time walking and smelling, my nose was in over drive. I showed off how good my sit is for some yummy treats and enjoyed getting scratches during ourbreaks. We saw a few other dogs which I wasnât a big fan of but did my best to ignore them. Finally, we went to Dunkin for a pup cup which was delish (though I didnât want to leave the AC â it was hot out!). What should potential adopters know about me: Moana is a gentle and curious girl. She was a little nervous coming into intake but was happy to see me and easy to harness up. She was excited to get outside and get sniffing, she hopped in the car no problem and rode nicely in the back. Moana loves to sniff and enjoys a relaxed slow walk where she can make sure not to miss any smells. She is a very good loose lead walker and sits nicely for treats. Moana was unreactive to other people, bikes, cars, etc. but she is not a big fan of other dogs and would prefer to be an only pet. She is a sweet and affectionate girl and likes to be close by you. Moana would be a wonderful companion to enjoy a relaxing life with.Three words to describe me: Sweet, Gentle, Mellow03/23/25Here is Moana's report card from Tails and Trails! What did we do on todayâs adventure:My friend took me on an adventure through Willow Glen. We started our journey with a brisk walk through the neighborhood. The air was filled with so many wonderful smells â I couldn't stop sniffing! There were trees, flowers, and even a few squirrels that darted past us.My friend let me explore every nook and cranny, and I found some hidden treasures like a stick that was perfect for chewing and a patch of grass that smelled like heaven. We were having so much fun, and I felt like the luckiest dog in the world. But then, as we were passing by some other dogs, things got a little overwhelming. There were so many of them barking and running around. I tried to stay calm, but it was a little much for me. I couldn't help but bark back at them and my friend noticed I was getting overstimulated and decided it was time to head home.Even though our walk was cut short, I was grateful for the adventure. We made our way back, and my friend gave me lots of pets and reassuring words. I knew they understood how I felt, and that made me feel safe and loved. What should potential adopters know about me:Today, I took Moana, the dog, on an adventure through Willow Glen. She was easy to leash up and was visibly excited to go out and about. As we walked through the neighborhood, Moana was doing really well, exploring all around and enjoying the new scents. We encountered a few dogs along the way, and Moana was extremely curious about them. She handled the first few encounters well, but then another dog passed us, and Moana became overstimulated. She presented some reactivity towards the dog, which led us to end the trip early.Interestingly, Moana did not show any of this behavior when passing other dogs in the shelter, but in public and on a leash, she did. Based on this experience, I would suggest that Moana would thrive in afamily where she can be the only dog. Three words to describe me:Dog Selective, Curious, Gentle

Adopt MOANA and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, MOANA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is MOANA's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the MOANA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming MOANA's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and MOANA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, MOANA’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the MOANA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, MOANA’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
