About this Dog
Date into Rescue:2/14/25 Reason for being in rescue: owner release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Prince is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Prince has a back knee with a small deformity that he was born with. It does not slow him down. He has a hernia on his stomach. Prince is a shih tzu-poodle mix. Weight: 20.12 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $349 Fence needed? No, but a fenced yard is a great safety feature for any dog. What kind of home would be best for me? Prince would thrive in a home with a single adopter, a couple, or a family—so long as you can match his energy level! Whether it’s walks, jogs, hikes in the mountains, or trips to the beach, Prince is always ready for an adventure. Just don’t forget his pup cup on the way home! Prince is small enough to adapt to apartment living, as long as he gets regular exercise and trips to the dog park. If his new home has a yard, he’d love it to be fenced so he can burn off all that extra energy. While Prince doesn’t necessarily need another dog, he’d enjoy a playmate, whether that’s a dog or even kids who are as active as he is. What is my personality like? Meet Prince, a high energy, playful six-year-old who’s always ready for fun and expects you to keep up. True to his name, this little guy believes he should be treated like royalty. But don’t worry—he doesn’t need pampering; he needs an active adopter who loves to play! Prince will need some basic training, such as learning down, sit, stay, come, etc. He walks well on a leash but could benefit from some leash training. With treats and praise, he’s a quick learner and will form a strong bond with you in the process. Prince is a playful, energetic bundle of joy. He loves playing with both other dogs and people and is always up for fun! If you’re looking for an active, loving companion, Prince is the perfect match. How do I act when I first meet new people? Hi! Let’s play! Prince is excited to meet anyone and prefers playtime over pets at first, but once he’s done playing, he’s ready to curl up and enjoy some cuddle time. Other tips and tidbits: Prince was born on or about 2/16/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
