Date into Rescue: 2/13/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Aiden was seized in a cruelty case and landed at a SC shelter. Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled him from the shelter. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Aiden is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. We were told Aiden is a standard poodle, but only a DNA test will confirm if he is mixed breed. His coat is more similar to a doodle. Given this, we cannot guarantee that he is hypoallergenic. Weight: 45 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Aiden requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Aiden will thrive in a calm and steady home. The hustle and bustle of young children, busy gatherings, and constant stimulation may be just too overwhelming for his sensitive soul. He needs peace, predictability, and kindness—every single day. What Aiden needs: Another confident, kind dog in the home – a friend to play with, to follow, and to remind him the world isn’t so scary, a calm, patient home – no chaos, just gentle hands and soft voices, a guiding human – someone who will show him that the world can be good, a lot of play and a lot of love – once he’s comfortable, this boy is so ready to live life Aiden doesn't have a preference when it comes to whether his adopter is a single person, a couple, or a family, as long as they’re as active as he is! He wants a family that will engage with him, take him on regular walks, and include him in all their adventures, whether it's hiking in the woods, climbing mountains, or hitting the beach. Aiden loves to be with his humans as much as possible! What is my personality like? Don't tell him - he thinks life is just grand! Meet Aiden – A Soft Soul with a Big Heart, Ready for His Forever. Aiden is a standard poodle with a past that no dog should ever have to endure. Pulled from an abuse case, his story is one of quiet strength and fragile hope. While his body is healing, his heart is still learning that not all hands hurt—and that some homes truly mean forever. Aiden is not broken, but he is tender. He can be timid and cautious, especially when the world moves too fast or voices grow too loud. And if trust is shaken, it takes him time to rebuild. But if you earn his heart - you get all of it. With the people he trusts, Aiden is playful, loving, joyful, and loyal beyond measure. He wants nothing more than to be near you, to play with you, to lean into your love like it’s the safest place in the world—because to him, it is. He doesn’t just crave connection—he treasures it. He’s not looking for just any person. He’s looking for his person, his family. If you believe in second chances and you’re ready to love a dog who will love you back with everything he has, Aiden is waiting. He's not just looking for a home. He’s looking for that piece of himself that was misused. How do I act when I first meet new people? Aiden will require some time to settle, but once he feels safe, his affection is vast and his loyalty unshakable. Other tips and tidbits: Aiden was born on or about 2/6/2023. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
