Fren is such a sweetie, she warms up to people quickly and loves to be nearby or sit on your lap and just relax. Fren started out as a very young neighborhood stray cat in the Las Calinas neighborhood in St. Johns County. Several families watched out for her and helped feed her, and all fell in love with her. When it was noticed that she was pregnant, one family took her in so that she could have a safe place to give birth (in Fall 2024) and keep her 3 kittens for some months until their adoption. Fren is estimated to be close to 2 years old and has now been spayed and vaccinated and is ready for a permanent home. She likes to walk alongside (or sometimes in front of you) as you walk, so she will do best with an owner who doesn’t mind a close companion. If you are looking for a loving cat that enjoys being around people, Fren will be a great choice.

Adopt Fren and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Fren's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Fren was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Fren’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Fren’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
