Meet Aster, a 6-month old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Alabama. Aster is spunky, athletic, and smart. He is very handsome with chocolate brown and white speckles, big upright ears, and long legs for all the running he enjoys doing. He is shy with new folks, but give it a day or two and he will be your best friend. He is a smart and opinionated young man who loves playing with other dogs. He sometimes plays a little rough with smaller dogs, but in no way aggressive, he just gets so excited about his play time as if each moment would last forever. He loves his leash walks and has a blast playing with his pals in the yard. We expect him to be between 40-55 pounds fully grown. Aster would do well in a home with a yard to run in and a family with an active lifestyle. He is still young, so he will need some training (just like any young pup does). With a little time and patience from you he will learn in no time. Australian Cattle Dogs are true-blue loyalists, famously smart, tenacious, ever alert, and may be wary of strangers. It is recommended that ACD owners participate in some sport or regular exercise to keep the dog mentally and physically fit. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Aster's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Aster was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Aster’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Aster’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
