About this Dog
Sarah, mom to seven, has declared being a beloved house dog beats the life of an abandoned hunting dog, and has claimed her place as a couch-potato-foster-dog! Sarah was found in the Long Island area of our county several weeks ago, caring for one pup, but people in the area reported they had seen several more pups in the days before Sarah was picked up. Everyone feared the worst when no puppies were reported—that is, until that special day when a family member from out of the area let us know that the puppies have been found in the same area where Sarah was living and were safe and warm and being cared for! Huge thanks to the citizen who found the puppies, kept them warm under a heat lamp, and cared for them until a foster family was able to take them in through FOAC! Sometimes we fail to acknowledge those people behind the scenes who makes such a difference in the lives of the pets around us. We want to make sure he was acknowledged here! Thank you for saving the life of Sarah, and thank you for saving seven puppies. SARAH will be looking for a home now, as her puppies have adoptive homes waiting for them this weekend. At 10 years old, it is amazing that this dog looks as good as she does, but we owe it all to her foster mom for pulling her through because it has not been an easy transition going from independent living to house dog living with several other adult dogs and humans.
