Meet Lucia! A sweet potato shaped tuxedo cat looking for her forever home!Lucia started her journey as a young mother on the streets of Chicago. She was sleeping on a lawn chair in someone's yard with her son cuddled up in the cold. When her soon to be foster mom approached her, the first thing heard was the softest little meow and out of the black and white bundle popped a small head.Lucia was taken in to get spayed as a TNR, but once inside she showed she truly wanted to be an indoor cat due to her absolute love for humans. Lucia enjoys being in pillow forts and loves playing with wands. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle, and when she wants attention she will come up to you and extend her little paw to poke you. Despite being a young cat, she really enjoys the finer things in life: cuddles, head scratches, and food.Lucia is looking to go to a home where she can get all the attention! She does fine with other cats but prefers human attention. She is kid friendly. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucia’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucia’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
