UPDATE 7/2025 This is truly heart-wrenching… Little Flora has been with us for almost a year now. She came in as a tiny, helpless baby—so small she couldn’t even eat on her own. One of our caring staff members fostered her for a short time just to keep her alive. But since then, the rest of her young life has been spent in a cage at the shelter. Now, at 11 1/2 months old, we’re starting to see the sadness in her eyes. Flora is getting depressed… and who could blame her? Growing up in a shelter is no life for a kitten. Despite it all, Flora is still curious, playful, and spunky. She has so much love to give, but she needs the right person—a cat-savvy human with patience and understanding to help her continue to blossom. Let’s turn her frown upside down. Often, a mama cat is nearby, and keeping kittens with her for at least 6-8 weeks allows them to learn important life lessons! Flora missed some of those early lessons from her mama, so she’s looking for an experienced cat person to help her adjust and learn manners. She is a dominant female cat for sure! Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Flora's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Flora was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Flora’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
