About this Cat
Gia has already beaten the odds. As a kitten, she was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP)—a disease once considered fatal. Thanks to a cutting-edge treatment and the love and support of Alleycats & Aristocats, Gia made a miraculous recovery after nearly three months of daily injections. She’s now a happy, playful girl with just a few reminders of her journey: a slightly cloudy right eye (with some vision loss), chronic nasal congestion that doesn’t slow her down, and the occasional minor litter box accident when she gets too excited or startled (just a quick cleanup!). Gia is sweet, resilient, and so deserving of a loving home that will embrace her quirks and celebrate how far she’s come. Could you be the one to give this little fighter the forever she’s been waiting for? Important note: FIP itself is not contagious to other cats, humans, or other animals. It develops from a mutation of feline enteric coronavirus (FeCV), a common and generally harmless virus among cats. While FeCV is contagious, the mutated form that causes FIP is not. Gia is petite for her age but is otherwise a happy, affectionate, and playful kitty. She gets along well with other cats but isn’t afraid to stand her ground with a growl or hiss if she feels threatened. Gia is truly a miracle girl—one of the lucky few to survive what was once considered a fatal diagnosis. Now that her treatment is complete, she requires no ongoing medication or special diet. Her foster mom does give her an anti-inflammatory supplement powder to help manage her nasal congestion. Her future vet should be informed of her medical history to ensure appropriate monitoring. Since FIP survival is a recent advancement, her long-term prognosis is hopeful but still uncertain. Gia is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and heartworm. Her estimated DOB is 5/14/24. I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org . This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help me settle into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours. Apply to adopt: https://alley-aristo.org/adoption-application/

Adopt Gia and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Gia's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Gia, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gia's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gia’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Gia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gia’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
