"I may be a senior pup, but I like to think of myself as a senior in high school—60 pounds, so handsome and young-looking! I have the softest brown eyes and best ears, especially when I’m trying to figure out a new sound. After 10 years, I’m just learning how to be a dog, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now! Toys and bones have become some of my favorite things along with lots of love. I know how to play fetch with my plush toys…but I’m only good for about 10min (true greyhound fashion!) I nap most of the day but if you say “Walk!”, I’m your guy and get so excited to go exploring! I don’t mind 1-2 miles, piece of cake. Speaking of treats, yes please!! I’m extra gentle when you give me one. Since I came to KC REGAP, I’ve learned that humans are actually really nice and now I love to meet new people; I get so excited! I'm a special needs guy looking for experienced dog owners who will pick up on my verbal and visual cues. Lucky for me being in a foster home since coming to KC REGAP, I’ve learned my human’s verbal cues as well. I am not sure about other dogs along the sidewalk, and I definitely don’t do well with small dogs or cats. My foster mom says I would do best with a privacy fence and as an only dog! In the backyard, you won’t find me doing zoomies just yet; I haven’t quite figured that out. However, I have discovered my voice and love to let you hear it when I get excited or am ready to play! My ideal household would be one with older human siblings (teenage+) or adults. Patience is key with me as I learn to trust you; but I will lean in real hard (almost knocking you over) as I show you lots of love and attention!" We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Charlie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Charlie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Charlie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
